Episode 271: The Sadness of Eating Less
Becoming a natural eater means learning to respond to your body – instead of your mind and all the other triggers that used to be reasons to eat. And that is good; that’s your goal. To be a natural eater who eats when hungry and stops when lightly full.
But sometimes, even when you learn to read your body and know when it’s asking for food (as opposed to your mind asking for food) you may still WANT to eat food for all kinds of other reasons.
And then you may feel disappointed or sad that you’re no longer doing what you used to do. Eating when you used to eat.
You may find yourself rebelling against doing this. And feeling bad.
So, let’s talk about WHY: Why does this new way of eating make you feel sad?
