Episode 255: My Top 3 Weight Loss Concepts From 2021

Today, I’ve followed my tradition that I do each year. I’ve gathered up three of my top weight loss concepts from this past year for you, dear listener.

Concept #1 from Episode 204: Belief is more important than strategy.
Yes, I know you want a list of steps to take and rules in abide by. But not matter now sound those rules may be, if you don’t believe in yourself, in your ability to change, those rules are worthless.
Belief must always come before strategies.
Concept #2 from Episode 208: Thin doesn’t equal happy. You might argue with me about this. I know you think that of course you’ll be happier when you lose that extra weight.
The truth is that you have the ability to be happy today, whatever you weigh. It’s not better over there; it’s good right now if you learn how to manage your thoughts. And, if you felt good now, imagine how much easier your weight loss journey would be!
Concept #3 from Episode 213: How to say no to yourself and still feel good. I used to hate saying no to myself. It didn’t feel right. I felt deprived and restricted, and that life wasn’t fair.
If I couldn’t have what I wanted, especially what I wanted to eat, well, it just wasn’t right.
Now I know, and will share with you, how learning to lovingly say no to yourself can help you get what you want and what you need. In order to get the results you want, it’s truly necessary to start using gentle, loving self-discipline.
