Episode 246: Why You Should Plan For Eating Obstacles

Ostacles

Do you hope for the best each day?
Crossing your fingers, quietly saying a little prayer, and wishing that you will be able to eat according to your plan?

If you do this, you are surely not alone.
But that still doesn’t solve your problem.
That still doesn’t resolve you feeling out of control as life throws challenges at you.
Daily.

Today, I’m going to make a case urging you to think ahead.
To see what is coming at you in the coming week, or at least the coming day.
And to think through how you want to respond.

No time to do this?
Hate planning?
Do you fear that thinking about these things will make you feel too structured?
Restricted?
Un-spontaneous?

Guess what?
Planning is empowering.
Letting life come toward you without a thought ahead of time, with no semblance of order at all…that is disempowering.

What do you wish for?
When you want to make a change, you have a goal, right?
To get to that goal, you need to take steps.
You need to know that you will keep your word to yourself.
Do what you say you will do.
But if you operate with no plan at all, you will feel like you are out of control.
You will feel lost, frustrated, and angry. And be unable to take those steps.

How do I know? I know because this was me before I took charge of myself and looked ahead.
Join me and allow me to show you the value of thinking ahead, for what is probably predictable. And learning how to keep your promise to yourself.
