Did you ever wonder why you’ve felt like eating every time you walked through your kitchen?
Yes, of course, part of it will always be your thinking.
But part of it could actually be your kitchen.
So I want to ask you a personal question.
We kind of know each other after 216 coaching sessions, right?
So I hope you don’t mind if I ask you if you have a messy kitchen.
What I mean is: do you have food out on the counters?
No judgement here, my friend.
But if you do, you are setting yourself up to be triggered and wanting to grab something to eat, every time you walk into or past your kitchen.
You are a sensitive human, and whatever you see or hear or even smell, conjures up memories.
So if you a package of cookies your brain will think: mmm, good! I remember those cookies. And I want some of them!
And you, like all of us, being a creature of habit, will likely go get some cookies. And if you are not hungry or didn’t plan for cookies right now, you won’t be happy with yourself.
Sometimes succeeding at a goal of how you want to eat can be reached with making changes in your environment.
It’s not cheating to make your life and your eating easier! I promise.
So listen in and be honest about the state of your kitchen. And decide if it is working for you.
