If I followed you around for a few days (don’t worry, I won’t!) what would I see?
Would I see you grazing all day?
Would I see you sit down to eat periodically, and watch you ask yourself if you were hungry?
Or would you go to food just because it was time?
Or because others were eating?
Or because someone offered you food?
A few years back, my eating had nothing to do with my hunger.
I ate for all sorts of reasons, and hardly any of it had to do with hunger.
And my weight reflected that.
I also was obsessed with losing weight.
And I couldn’t put two + two together to understand why losing my extra weight was so hard.
I thought it was all about WHAT I was eating.
I didn’t pay attention to all those times I ate without hunger.
