Episode 197: The Slight Edge for Weight Loss
In The Freedom Group, we often share books that promote what we teach about becoming a natural eater, reaching goals and losing weight.
Often these books are not weight loss books but are personal development books that we apply to weight loss.
The Slight Edge, by Jeff Olson, is one of these books.
It’s one of my favorite books!
Today I’m going to take The Slight Edge philosophy and show you how you can use it to reach your weight loss goals and transform yourself into a natural eater.
We will talk about small actions and simple choices that day after day, produce huge results. Things that are easy to do AND at the same time are easy to not do.
I want you to see that everything you do adds up to your results.
Everything you do and eat counts.
Not in the sense of counting points or calories, because you know we don’t do that here.
But in the sense that all your actions count.
So you might do something you know is not helpful, and think: oh, what’s the big deal?
I can always get back on track tomorrow.
Have you ever said this?
If you have, you probably know that when you are trying to change, it all counts. It’s all a big deal.
So every decision you make is important.
Everything you do is important.
And so it everything you don’t do.
In this coaching session, I’m going to show you examples of some simple choices you make that you might think don’t matter, when it comes to food and eating. And yet they do.
We’ll talk about why taking the important small steps in the right direction is hard….and what can make it easier.
And I’ll help you see how to create a ‘slight edge’ for yourself, so your change is inevitable.
