You know what result you want. You want to lose weight. You want to stop starting over again and again. You definitely want to stop hating yourself.
So first, you clarify what you want and then you figure out what to do. You look for a diet or a program or a philosophy and then you start.
But if this is what you do, you are forgetting one big important thing: your decision.
Not your decision to lose weight. You make that decision every morning and every evening. You think about it constantly and beat yourself up for not following the steps you’ve chosen, and you do this over and over.
What is missing is your decision to do what it takes and that means your commitment. Not just when it’s easy but to do what it takes until you get what you want.
You decide, then you commit. And then you get all your thoughts and feelings lined up so that you can do what it takes to get what you want.
