Episode 163: Are You Rebelling Against Yourself When You Overeat?
Do you think if someone had a way of ‘making you’ do something, that you’d be so happy? Because then you’d really stick to your eating plan or go to the gym.
But then, when you do join a diet program or hire that personal trainer, you still find yourself quitting?
If you do, you are not alone.
And as silly as this might sound, you are really rebelling against yourself. You’re the one who wants to achieve something, to change a habit, or to just show up differently.
But when you set things up to do just that, you find yourself thinking things like:
- I don’t care!
- I don’t have to!
- No one can make me do that!
And the next thing you know you are off your plan, headed in the opposite direction of your goal.
This is rebellion at it’s worst, because you are actually rebelling only against yourself. Hmmm. Not exactly what you planned to do, right?
In this coaching session we will take a good look at how you might be rebelling against yourself, why you might be in the habit of doing that, and, of course, how to stop doing it!
