Episode 148: Do You Love Food Too Much?
Have you ever said this? “I just can’t lose weight because I’m a real food lover.”
Well, this is just not true. We all love food, really. Me too!
But when we love something, there is no drive to overdo it. Just the right amount is perfect. And too much is too much.
When you love something, you don’t use it for things it’s not intended for. You don’t eat delicious food because you are sad. You don’t eat 12 cookies because you are excited.
You eat food because you love it, and you eat it slowly enough to taste it. Slowly enough to really savor it. And you get maximum pleasure out of it.
When you use food inappropriately, to make yourself feel good, it’s not because you love it so much.
It’s because you aren’t taking responsibility for yourself. For your emotions. And this is VERY different from eating because you love food.
I want you to enjoy the foods you love. AND learn to manage your emotional life. AND, see that they are two different things.
