If I were to ask you why you wanted to lose weight, either you’d look at me like I was crazy, or you’d go through a whole mental list of reasons you’ve accumulated through the years.
- You might want to look better.
- Or be a smaller size.
- Or have ‘better’ clothes that fit you.
- Maybe it’s how you show up in your job, your public image.
- Or perhaps you have a big event coming up and you’d rather not show up in the body you currently have.
Why would I even ask such a simplistic question? Shouldn’t I know better?
Well, I’ll bet you’d be surprised to know that most of your reasons aren’t true.
They are what you THINK you want to get out of losing weight and changing how you eat. But they are merely surface reasons and won’t carry you through this journey.
That’s right! Your reason for wanting to do this is what creates fuel for your desire. Your big reason for doing anything is why you wake up and keep doing what’s right for you to reach your goals.
So, in this coaching session, I’d like to invite you to dig a little deeper. Let’s go behind and underneath the reasons you say you want to make eating changes.
And let’s get to the truth. What do you wish you could feel? What attitude do you wish you could have as you walk through the world?
