What happens when you grow up feeling like you are never ‘good enough’?
If you’re like most of the women I work with, you develop coping strategies.
And many of these coping strategies involve eating.
Yup, eating to feel better.
Eating because you think you are not good enough.
Eating because you just can’t handle that feeling of not being enough.
This is a common way of thinking. And it’s not really helpful.
We all tend to try to be better, do better, and many of us think the way to do that is to lose weight.
Be better = be thinner. So you go into the world of dieting.
And what happens then?
If the diets don’t work?
Then you assume it must be you, right?
